General: Wild Crab Apple (Peraphyllum ramosissimum) is a much branched deciduous shrub or small tree that grows to about 10 feet. The leaves are lanceolate, it has wild rose-type flowers, and little crab apples that look like rose hips.

Wild Crab Apple is an uncommon component of vegetation communities in the Upper Sonoran (Pinyon-Juniper Woodland) and Transition (Yellow Pine Forest) life zones.
