Blow-Flies (Family Calliphoridae)

General: Blow-Flies (Bombyliidae), also known as known as carrion flies, bluebottles, greenbottles, or cluster flies, are a diverse group of flies that are not all related (at least not in the same family), so taxonomic work remains to be done.

To the layman, blow-flies are recognized by their metallic colors, often blue or green.
