Getting to the Lone Mountain Trailheads.
Lone Mountain is located in the northwest part of urban Las Vegas, just inside the Western Beltway (Highway I-215) between Lone Mountain and Alexander roads. From town, drive north on Highway 95 or Highway 215 to the northwest part of town.
From Highway 95, exit and drive west on Craig Road. Choose any main road, turn left, and drive south to Alexander Road (which should be the next main road). Turn right onto Alexander Road and drive west towards Lone Mountain, which can be seen ahead on the right.
For the Vegas Vista Trail Trailhead, continue west on Alexander, wrapping around the south toe of Lone Mountain. Turn right at the light and continue on Alexander (yes - right on Alexander; the road that bends left becomes Hualapai Way). The next right is Vegas Vista Trail. Turn right onto Vegas Vista Trail and drive north 0.5 miles to the end of the pavement. Park on the right (Wpt. 0870). Park here; this is the trailhead.
