Wooden Fence Spring Trailhead is located in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, about 45 minutes west of Las Vegas, but not in the Scenic Loop
Road area. The trailhead is located off Highway 160, west of the intersection with Highway 159 (West Charleston Blvd). This trailhead is not in the fee area.
Wooden Fence Spring Trailhead primarily is used by mountain bike riders; however, it also provides hiker access to many miles of fairly easy trail.
Trails: Wooden Fence Spring, Lone Grapevine Spring, and numerous bike trails.

Getting to the Trailhead
From town, drive out to Red Rocks (Table 1, Site 0519), but don't enter the fee area. Rather, continue south on Highway 159 (West Charleston Blvd) to Highway 160. Turn left and drive west 5.7 miles to Wildhorse Road (Site 1089). Turn right onto Wildhorse Road and wind around to eventually drive north 1.5 miles to Wooden Fence Spring Trailhead parking (Site 1092), on the left. |
