White Rock Loop Trail - Counter-Clockwise This well-maintained trail makes a 6.3-mile loop around the White Rock Hills. Along the way, the trail passes through a variety of vegetation zones, provides grand views out across Red Rock Valley, displays particularly interesting geology, and visits several archeological sites. The trail passes two trailheads, which provides opportunity to walk the loop in part or in full starting at different places and in different directions. Presented here are photos of White Rock Loop in the counter-clockwise direction: from Willow Springs east to White Rock Trailhead and then on around the loop. For a complete description of the hike, including maps and GPS waypoints, see White Rock Loop-Clockwise. For hikers who can arrange a shuttle, hiking between Willow Springs Trailhead and White Rock Trailhead can be a nice when two vehicles are driven to White Rock Trailhead. One is left there, and hikers continue in the other vehicle to Willow Springs Trailhead. Hikers then walk back to pick up the first vehicle. |
