General Description: Snow Geese (Chen caerulescens) are large geese that are entirely white except for the black wing tips (primary feathers) and pink bill with black lips.

Where to Find: Snow Geese are not common around Las Vegas, but keep an eye out in places like the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve, the Pahranagat Valley, and the Overton Wildlife Management Area.
Comments: Snow Geese are flocking creatures. You won't often see just one; rather, expect to see them by the hundreds and thousands. |
