Hiking Around Las Vegas, Mount Charleston Area

Echo Trailhead is located up in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area (also known as Mt. Charleston), about 40 minutes northwest of Las Vegas. From town, drive out to the Spring Mountains Visitor Center. From there, continue west on Kyle Canyon Road to Echo Road. Stay right onto Echo Road and drive northwest for 0.1 miles to Echo Trailhead access road, a dirt spur road to the left. Turn left into the Echo Trailhead parking area (Table 1, Site 1282). Park here, this is the trailhead. Don't park or block access to Well #60. Echo Trail begins in the northwest (far-right) corner of the parking lot; look for a small trail sign with an arrow. Echo Trailhead provides access to Echo Trail, which is an alternate start to Little Falls Trail and the Cathedral Rock trails. Link to map. |
